What if one small choice changed everything? Join True Heart Theatre for an evening of Playback Theatre, where your stories inspire spontaneous, heartfelt performances.

True Heart Theatre invites you to join an open rehearsal to gain an experience of Playback Theatre. This theatre form is open to anyone with or without drama experience. Playback Theatre is an improvisational theatre form created through an interactive collaboration between performers and the audience. By sharing our stories, we explore the connection that exists between us.

True Heart Theatre is proud to launch the Playback Theatre Improvers Network this Autumn! We welcome playbackers to join our rehearsals to develop our craft and explore creative possibilities together. During rehearsals, our team will explore different areas (eg, voice, movement, conducting, deep listening, Narrative Reticulation, etc) and provide side coaching accordingly. The programme consists of 10 rehearsals (3hrs per session) and a performance at the end.

真心劇團將於秋季開始一個新概念活動 【深化一人一事劇場網絡】，讓playbackers來參與綵排，一起探索並深化相關的技巧，如聲音運用、形體、領航、故事聆聽、敍事網、等等，過程中如有需要會提供在旁指導 。全活動共有十節3小時綵排及一場演出。

We’re excited to welcome Playback elder extraordinaire Gerry Orkin to London in May, and to co-host these two powerful workshops with our friends London Playback Theatre.

Sat 17 May: The Stories of Some of Us (on social justice in Playback Theatre)

Sat 18 May: Rock and Water (on conducting in Playback Theatre)

These workshops are open to anyone who has completed Core Training in Playback, or equivalent.

Gerry is an Australian playback practitioner whose involvement with Playback began in 1985. He has a special interest in training conductors, bringing artistry to the stage, and helping communities work with the social dimensions of stories. He has led workshops on those topics in Australia, Singapore, Greece, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong, India, the UK and Portugal.

We are thrilled to invite you to the Playback Theatre Core Training in Mar to Apr. You will learn the core values and techniques in 4 weekends.

Playback Theatre is a kind of Applied Theatre to connect with communities; to speak the unspoken; to activate social changes. There are many more valuable benefits to unlock your creativity and spontaneity with us.
